David Hannibal & Kristina Finn
San Francisco Bay Area
David Hannibal (co-founder of Haunted by Waters and Samsara's Edge) and Kristina Finn have been collaborating on musical ideas for many years, blending rock, blues, jazz, pop, new age electronic and swamp funk into creations uniquely their own.
Smooth, edgy, atmospheric, and bitter-sweet — the music of Hannibal Finn is hard to fit into a single category. Their debut album No Longer There showcases this breadth: from the hypnotic groove of Orleans to the delicate introspection of Suddenly, each track occupies its own emotional universe.
Co-founder of Haunted by Waters and Samsara's Edge, David has also worked with Big City Orchestra, Saboo, Mannheim Steamroller, World Entertainment War, and Micky Hart, and contributed music and sound design for feature films including Prophesy 2000, The Man Who Counted, and Follow Me Home (with Roy Finch and Peter Bratt). He has a long history of sampling work and programming with E-mu Systems, Gibson/Oberheim, and Q-up Arts among others.
Sang in cafes in NYC and Santa Cruz with partner Doug Ross (guitarist/singer-songwriter who toured as opening act for America and jammed regularly with Al Jarreau in LA, represented by John Hammond Sr.) Kristina was also a street performer in NYC and San Francisco, performing and doing mime.
